On 7th October 2010 Eurostar and Siemens unveiled the new Eurostar 320 rolling stock at press launch at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
The new trains will carry up to 900 passengers through the tunnel and across Europe at speeds of up to 320 km/h when they enter service by 2014.
In one of Global's more unusual assignments, we were drafted in by one of our event management partners, working on behalf of Eurostar and Siemens, to construct the open air surround and imitation bogeys for the full size 320 forward carriage stationed beside the Albert Memorial in Kensington Gardens for the day.
With the whole event organised and executed in top secret and at short notice, our team worked through the night to install and dismantle all within a 24 hour period. Their efforts paid off with the event proving a huge success for all concerned with international press coverage online, in print and on television.
